Midnight

The brother and sister next door (Pete and Buffy) just bought a miniature Schnauzer  her name is midnight.  Alyvia practically lives at their house now.  The picture of me is taken on Buffy and Pete's front porch. But the next house you see is ours. Super close! We'll show picture of the houses soon.

Ways we preach :-)

Okay, really my dad has a study in that shop, but he can't help himself. But there is no justification for the first picture.

Flood

During the rainy season the afternoons are very wet. Recently there was an downpour that made it difficult to get around for some. The day afterwards (Monday) many couldn't make it to school or work because of mudslides. Some roads were destroyed and we didn't have water in our house (the house we were in before this one). The house we are (hopefully permanently) in now has fairly constant water. That is a big advantage. For days after the flooding the afternoons were even more rain-filled then normal. The streets would flood into rivers. It was quite interesting and seeing the roads as rivers was pretty exciting. But, of course, it was devastating for some. That was our little story to tell. I'll be adding some more stories with pictures soon.

Preaching

Preaching is wonderful. We are in an English Group of 8 (including us). Because not everyone speaks English we have to census the territory to find out which houses do. The Panamanians are very receptive and open to hearing about the good news. Studies are plentiful. Because of the great weather and price of gas walking and taking buses is very common. My mother and another sister from the English group (that lives next door) do early mornings and walk to town. We are enjoying the ministry immensely and hope to soon welcome more to help.

Landscape

Here are some pictures of the landscaping. They were all taken by us.

Welcome to my Blog

I am starting a new blog about our life here in Panama. We are living in Boquete. Which is located in the mountains in the province of Chirique. The weather is great, always around the 70's. Right now we are in the rainy season so every afternoon it rains. This will last until October- November when it will start to rain even more. Then starting mid-December summer begins, or the dry season, and will last 3 months.
This is now our second time here in Panama. At the commencing of the year we came to scope out the country. After deciding to settle in Boquete we went home to finalize the moving process. About 4 months ago we returned and have been settling into our new home and life. I hope you enjoy reading of our adventures and new life. -Aribey
